MASSERIA BORGO DEI TRULLI

The estate lies in the commune of MARUGGIO, in the province of Taranto. Close to the Ionian seaside. It is in the central part of the Salento region, in the prestigious area of Primitivo Manduria DOP. The Estate takes its name from this traditional buildings. Dry stone huts which were mainly used as field shelters or storehouses by Saracen populations hundreds of years ago.

Intense and brilliant red colour with purple highlights. Rich and complex bouquet, with notes of dried figs, dates and black cherry jam and delicate spicy notes. It is harmonious and balanced with surprising freshness, accompanied by sweet and supple tannins, with hints of candied fruit, honey and notes of chocolate. A long finish, with a touch of liquorice.
Traditionally served with chocolate or almond pastries, but it is also excellent with mature cheese.

Straw-yellow in colour with bright reflections. Enticing perfumes of green apple and flowers with a hint of baked bread. The bubbles are fine and elegant. On the palate it is savory with an abundance of deliciously ripe white stone fruit flavours. Fresh and balanced, with a pleasingly persistent finish. To be enjoyed as an aperitif or paired with seafood dishes.

An “authentic” and genuine Primitivo without added sulphites and only selected yeasts used for fermentation.

Ink-red in colour, with intense balsamic notes of eucalyptus, thyme, dark fruits, and scents of the sea itself. On the palate it is very concentrated, with salty notes of dark red fruit, plums, and Mediterranean herbs. Powerful and firm, yet austere, elegant and velvety at the same time.
Perfect with rich meat dishes and stews, paired with mature cheeses or simply as a meditation wine.

Duna Mirante Primitivo di Manduria DOP

An elegant pink with tones of seashells and peonies, this wine expresses scents and flavours of strawberries, Passion Fruit, watermelon and orange blossom.
The palate is full, fresh and crisp, with good acidity and a lingering sensation of citrus fruit and minerals. The finish is long and clean. Enjoy it by itself as an aperitif or with fish, seafood or poultry.

Primitivo Salento igp Rosato

Pale yellow in colour, the wine displays aromas of rich tropical fruit with a hint of vanilla. On the palate it is subtle and soft, with an elegant and complex citrus acidity and a long and lingering finish.

Ficheto
Bianco Puglia IGP

Pale yellow in colour, the wine displays attractive aromas of peach, lemon peel, mango and dry herbs. On the palate the saline minerality comes through and blends with a complex and pleasantly fresh acidity. Perfect as an aperitif on its own or excellent to accompany pasta dishes with shellfish or grilled white meats.

Vermentino Salento IGP

Deep and intense red purple colour; rich and complex aromas, with notes of red fruits such as redcurrant, cherry and black cherry. A full-bodied wine, soft and harmonious, rich in tannins, with a pleasant, long finish. The spicy notes of cinnamon, coffee and vanilla make it particularly enveloping, velvety and elegant. A meditation wine, which is also delicious with game and mature cheeses.

Liala Negroamaro Salento IGP

Deep ink-red in color, it displays aromas of dried fruit, exotic spices, white pepper and dark chocolate, sandalwood and figs. The mouth feel is big and intense, yet round, rich, warm and extremely well-balanced. It displays complex and mouth-filling layers of soft, elegant tannins, with hints of vanilla, prunes, raisins, coffee and honey. The finish is very long, persistent and full, with a hint of sweetness from the oak aging. It shows best when enjoyed on its own as a “meditation wine”.

Mirea
Primitivo di Manduria DOP

Lucale is intense garnet red in colour, with a complex bouquet reminiscent of cherries, raspberries and redcurrants. The oak ageing adds a pleasant roasted and spicy aroma. Full-bodied, it is supple and well-balanced, with layers upon layers of dark fruit, fine tannins and a long and lingering finish. Perfect with roasted red meats, game and hard cheeses.

Primitivo Puglia IGP Appassimento

Deep violet red in colour, it displays intense and elegant earthy aromas of blackcurrants, candied fruits, white pepper and spices. The palate is full-bodied, velvety and rich, with complex yet soft tannins and a long and persistent finish. Serve with a variety of foods, from meat based pasta dishes to hard cheeses and game.

Salice Salentino DOP Riserva

The wine displays a deep violet colour, with pleasant earthy aromas of blackcurrants, vanilla and chocolate. The palate is velvety, elegant and complex. The finish is extremely well-balanced and persistent. Best when served with pasta dishes with meat sauces and roasted red meats.

Salice Salentino DOP

Intense red with violet hues, the wine displays aromas of plums, wild strawberries and black pepper. The palate is full-bodied, with hints of liquorice and nutmeg, well-balanced tannins and a long and persistent finish. Perfect with chicken dishes, grilled vegetables, lamb and soups with vegetables and meat.

Negroamaro Salento IGP

Deep garnet-red in colour, it displays aromas of dried fruit, exotic spices, white pepper and chocolate. The mouth feel is round and intense, with layers upon layers of soft elegant tannins, vanilla, prunes, coffee and underbrush. The finish is elegant and persistent and extremely well-balanced. Serve with game, meat dishes and hard cheeses. Also ideal on its own as a “meditation wine”.

Saracena
Primitivo Salento IGP

This dark purple wine has a dark scent of currants and ripe blackberries with a hint of oak on the nose. In the mouth it is explosive – sun-baked fruit flavours mingle with a slight herbaceousness for a powerful burst of flavour which lasts in the mouth. The finish on this wine is surprisingly long, with lasting notes of plum and spices. Perfect with grilled red meat and savoury first courses.

Primitivo di Manduria DOP

Intense ruby-red in colour, it displays aromas of black cherries, prunes, spice and white pepper. The mouth feel is full-bodied, velvety and elegant, with soft yet firm tannins and a long, lingering finish. Ideal with pizza, pasta with rich meat sauces. Excellent also with lamb and mature cheeses.
